20 yrs ago I read this Bowie thing, I don’t remember where. He said that basically each of his albums, he gets it to where he thinks it’s complete & then he listens back to it & can see what exactly it’s missing & then he writes one last song to patch up those gaps & that song always ended up being the hit.

This song is that song for us. Years after we started 60 songs & completed 19 of them & months after we divided those into an 11 song album & 8 song EP, we made this song. It is the core alchemical experiment at the root of all of it, our theory kicked into practice. It’s the “Helter Skelter / Gimme Shelter” kinda-mashup, kinda-two warped covers played simultaneously, the atomic nucleuses of rock history colliding to create a song too powerfully charged for copyright law to allow!
